I began my career with Macomb County in July 2015 as a part-time Account Clerk I/II for the Human Resources and Labor Relations Department. In November of 2017, I received a promotion to Account Clerk III. My responsibilities included billing, calculating hazard pay and clothing allowances, coordinating, training, reconciling our budget and administering the Learning Management System (LMS). In November of 2018, I received a promotion to Position Control and Operations Specialist for the Human Resources and Labor Relations Department. In this position, I process personnel actions, increments and union dues, and perform other duties related to position control for multiple departments, including Animal Control, Board of Commissioners, Community Mental Health, Corporation Counsel, County Clerk, Department of Roads, Equalization, Facilities and Operations, Finance, Juvenile Justice Center, Macomb/St. Clair ETA and Workforce Development Board, Office of the County Executive, Planning and Economic Development, Prosecuting Attorney and Purchasing. My background includes sixteen years of management and employee development. Working for the County aligns with my goals for my career while providing the flexibility for the work-life balance I need.
