Guidelines for safe child care operations
On March 11, 2022, the Michigan Department of Licensing and Regulatory Affairs issued Guidelines for Safe Child Care Operations During COVID-19 that are intended for use in licensed child care and school-age enrichment programs. The guidelines provide tools to help child care providers make the best decisions possible to limit the spread of COVID-19 and to create safe spaces for children and staff members. The Michigan Department of Health and Human Services maintains a dashboard that displays the 7-day average of newly-reported COVID-19 cases for school aged residents (ages – 18 years) as reported by Intermediate School Districts across the state.
